Covering a wide range of media, student work on the one year Foundation in Art and Design exemplifies the diversity and creative opportunities of the Programme. The Foundation prepares students for progression to one of seven specialist host courses within Westminster’s School of Arts (BA Fine Art Mixed Media, BA Photography, BA Fashion Photography, BA Contemporary Media Practice) or Westminster School of Media and Communication (BA Animation, BA Illustration, BA Graphic Design). Our students develop the essential principles used across contemporary creative disciplines, with our annual exhibition a culmination of independent work that demonstrates skills learned throughout the year. From performance to portraiture, mixed media to moving image, text to textiles, design to illustration, photography to immersive media, these creatives work with curiosity, candour, and criticality.
