Illustration BA Honours
Our course offers a flexible, multidisciplinary, multimedia approach to the study and practice of contemporary illustration and visual communication. A supportive learning community encourages students to develop their own distinctive visual practice through experimentation and inquiry.
Students work on a broad range of projects, self-defined and from industry, to explore and examine a variety of ideas using processes and practices in both traditional and emerging technologies.
This year, our Illustration students have shown great resourcefulness and invention, exploring themes such as: mythology, folklore, natural and fantasy worlds, mental & physical health, spirituality, music, social commentary and personal history. Students adopt their own figurative, graphic, abstract, decorative and surreal visual languages. The resulting work engages many audiences and takes a variety of visual forms including installation, animation, children’s picture book, graphic novels, web comic, magazine design, decorative design, game art, drawing and image-making for commercial design and conceptual exploration.
Thank you for helping us celebrate an extraordinary collection of young illustrators and visual communicators.
We hope you enjoy the showcase.
